Another day, another host of encouraging developments within the crypto ecosystem. Whilst most had their eyes fixed on the value of bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market as a whole, various milestones were reached within the budding industry.

We’re talking project launches, VC fundraising rounds, project releases, and even book publications! Below, I share with you 10 of my favourites from Wednesday’s thread.

[1] POA Network (POA) announced its ERC20-to-ERC20 TokenBridge! Now, projects can leverage separate Ethereum-based networks to communicate with one another through the transformation of ERC20-compliant tokens. Blockchain interoperability growing strong!

[2] 202 days after launching to the Ethereum mainnet, blockchain-based live-streaming platform Livepeer (LPT) announced its network participation rate grew to 20%. Their algorithmically adjusting token issuance model economically incentivizes participation in their stake-based system. Livepeer has set a network participation rate of 50%.

[3] Dragonchain (DRGN) was awarded a patent for its Interchain™ solution, a way for blockchains – both public and private – to securely connect and interact. With Dragonchain’s Eternal app, users can visualize combined blockchain networks.

[4] The Loom Network (LOOM) team introduced another blockchain-based game built using the Loom SDK! This time, it’s Moonrealm Entertainment’s Coins & Steel (CAS), a fantasy multiplayer role-playing game.

[5] Argent, the self-described “first smart wallet for Ethereum,” shared two major development updates with its community. Firstly, the ENS-integrated Argent smartphone app is now live on both iOS and Android. Secondly, the U.K.-headquartered team secured $4,000,000 worth of funding in an Index Ventures- and Creandum-led seed round!

[6] Two of the crypto industry’s most highly regarded individuals – Andreas Antonopoulos and Gavin Wood – published Mastering Ethereum: Building Smart Contracts and DApps, a 424-page book covering all you need to know about the Ethereum network. Available on Kindle only, with the printed version expected to come out in under a week’s time. In the spirit of open source, a free GitHub version of the book has been made available, too.

[7] Switcheo Network (SWTH) became the first decentralised exchange (DEX) on the NEO blockchain to allow trading of both ERC20- and NEP5-compliant tokens after its Callisto upgrade officially went live! Over 22 trading pairs have been added, including MakerDAO (MKR) and Basic Attention Token (BAT).

[8] San Francisco-based Numerai (NMR), a global artificial intelligence tournament to predict the stock market, announced the following three hires: Max Novendstern (Finance), James Geary (Developer), and Stephane Gosselin (Developer). All will work on the NMR-powered, decentralized data marketplace for predictions, Erasure.

[9] The Ethex team shipped its Ethex Trade Wallet, a unique native mobile dApp that features hassle-free ether and ERC20-compliant token trading. Compliments their existing Ethex browser dApp nicely!

[10] Protocol aggregator InstaDapp is live! Through this single dApp, users can seamlessly interact with multiple blockchain protocols. At launch, InstaDapp is integrated with MakerDAO (MKR) and Kyber Network’s (KNC) on-chain liquidity protocol.

I compose threads like these several times a week. Following @mwill_crypto will allow you to read them hot off the press. If you loathe a clogged feed then, by all means, give me the flick and follow @NuggetsNewsAU instead. They actually do interviews and what not. Whereas I…well I just tweet about them!
