Another hot start to the week in the crypto and blockchain space! To help you stay on top of it all, I put together a 22-part Twitter thread based on news and announcements from Tuesday. Can’t be bothered looking through the whole thing? All good! Below, I’ve listed what I considered the ten most noteworthy inclusions. Enjoy!
In a blog post by COO Adam White, Bakkt announced the acquisition of Digital Asset Custody Company (DACC), a custodian of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets. “As we look to scale and support custody of additional digital assets,” White wrote, “DACC’s native support of 13 blockchains and 100+ assets will serve as an important accelerator.”
Mike Novogratz’s Galaxy Digital Holdings posted a $97M loss in Q4, making it $272.7M in the red after a year in operation. The majority of this loss was attributable to the sale of digital assets. Other contributing events included recording $75.5M in paper losses on crypto still being held, $8.5M in unrealized losses on investments in companies, and $88.4M in operating expenses. Yikes.
Former ConsenSys spoke Truffle Blockchain Group told Forbes they’ve raised $3M to begin building “enterprise-grade suite of blockchain development tools” as well as hire new talent. Truffle also announced today the first company it’s integrating with is AxCore, a proprietary blockchain created by Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan-backed Axoni.
Erik Zhang (Co-Founder & Core Developer, NEO) published a blog post revealing the development roadmap for NEO 3.0, “a robust blockchain implementation with high throughput, enhanced stability and security, an optimized smart contract system, and a feature-packed infrastructure set for diverse business application scenarios.” Dates to note: testnet (2Q19) and mainnet (2Q20).
The IOTA Foundation announced British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover is “testing software that will allow drivers of its cars to earn the IOTA cryptocurrency as a reward for sharing data.”
Binance’s venture capital arm, Binance Labs, invested an undisclosed sum in PhishFort, a South African startup that provides solutions to crypto companies for protection from phishing attacks and scams.
Two data-focussed crypto projects today announced integration with leading decentralized oracle network Chainlink (LINK): Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) and Streamr (DATA). Both will now beable to securely access off-chain information.
Blockchain game development studio Experimental has closed a seed round worth over $500,000 from the likes of Sumit Gupta, Animoca Brands, Argentine government-backed venture capital firm YAVU, and more. Experimental is the creator of the CryptoWars, the first strategy game to run entirely on smart contracts.
Ethereum-focused R&D startup Decenter launched CDP Saver on the Ethereum mainnet! Enabled by Kyber Network (KNC), it represents a fully functional MakerDAO CDP dashboard “with advanced, yet accessible features, including Repay, Boost and a CDP Marketplace,” according to a blog post published today.
The recently launched eToroX announced the addition of 7 more trading pairs: BCH-BTC, LTC-BCH, BCH-ETH, XRP-ETH, LTC-ETH, BCH-XRP, and LTC-XRP.

If you loathe a clogged feed then, by all means, give me the flick and follow @NuggetsNewsAU instead. They actually do interviews and what not. Whereas I…well I just tweet about them!
