Metrics & Milestones

November was undoubtedly Nugget’s News YouTube & the Nugget’s News Crypto Podcast’s most successful to date in terms of attracting high-profile guests including Andreas AntonopoulosRoger VerErik Voorhees, and Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao. It was exciting to see the our subscriber count also hit 60,000 earlier in the month.

Industry Involvement

Alex and I travelled to South Australia for the state premiere screening of Cryptopia. Afterwards, he took to the stage with award-winning producer and director Torsten Hoffmann for a fireside chat.

Later in the month, we launched a Christmas competition—dubbed ‘Nugget’s 12 Days of Crypto’—to reward followers of Nugget’s News and the industry more broadly. Over the first three weeks of December, we’re giving away 12 prize bundles, each of which is valued at more than AU$500 thanks to the generosity of our various sponsors.

Business Development

Making November particularly exciting was the fact that the Nugget’s News full-time team expanded by two! Our new employees—Matt Willemsen (Head of Research & Written Content) and Megan Steicke (Social Media Specialist)—each possess unique skill-sets that we believe are crucial to the long-term success of Nugget’s News.

It was terrific to have Matt and Megan fly down to Launceston in November for their induction. I look forward to seeing them drive more value for customers and improving the quality of Nugget’s News’ products and services.

We also launched in November an exciting new feature for Nugget’s Crypto Community members: a monthly fundamental research report. To celebrate the launch, we made the inaugural issue free for all to read. These reports will comprise cryptocurrencies that we feel are important for members to know about. Coverage of interesting projects that don’t have a native cryptocurrency will also be included from time to time.

We’re thrilled to have this monthly report—along with our recently launched monthly precious metals report—up and running before year-end. The more value generated for members, the better!

In Closing

I have a strong suspicion that, many years from now, Alex and I will look back on November of 2019 as a pivotal moment for Nugget’s News. In it, we saw our full-time headcount double to four; Alex interview a number of highly sought-after guests on the channel; and more members-only, research-driven content go live.
