In our latest ‘Meet the Team’, we’d like to introduce another recent addition to the Nugget’s News family: Sarah Petty. As Editor at Nugget’s News, Sarah brings her writer’s flair and rare ability to simplify the complex to both the Nugget’s News and Collective Shift platforms.
Sarah studied a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) and Bachelor of Art (Journalism), completing her studies at the end of 2020. As part of her double degree, Sarah pursued journalism abroad, writing articles across the European Union including in Germany, Belgium and Denmark. She has also lived a portion of her life in the U.S., in both New York City and Connecticut.
She was introduced to the crypto space at the end of her studies, applying and accepting a role at Nugget’s News originally as a Junior Content Creator. To date, merging her finance and journalism backgrounds to disseminate crypto news and information has been the most enjoyable aspect of her job.
In her role as Editor for Nugget’s News, Sarah focuses her time on content for both Nugget’s News and Collective Shift by:
- Writing articles for both platforms as well as partners
- Writing resources for the Knowledge Centre
- Writing and editing Headline Analyses & Daily Snapshots

Q&A with Sarah
How’d your crypto journey begin?
My crypto journey began at the end of 2020 when I joined Nugget’s News. Originally knowing little about anything to do with crypto, I quickly became immersed in the space thanks to each passionate team member who have been fast-tracking my knowledge. Now, I focus on creating content for beginners who want to learn about cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
What attracted you to focus your writing on crypto?
I’ve always been attracted to the challenge of researching and writing about topics I’m unsure of. Writing about cryptocurrencies and the ecosystem surrounding them has been fascinating and, in my opinion, is only going to become more and more important as this world expands. Whilst difficult at times as a beginner in this space, utilising my skills to educate others alongside learning myself has been incredibly fulfilling, and I look forward to what’s ahead.
Where do you think cryptocurrencies will be in 10 years time?
- Bitcoin as the universal currency.
- Cryptocurrencies—particularly stablecoins—become adopted globally and used daily.
- Tokenisation of all things music, video and games.
Sarah is part of a fast-growing team here at Nugget’s News. See the whole squad on our Meet the Team page.
