August: YouTube Subscribers Surpass 90,000, Record 1,077 New Members

We were delighted to promote Megan Steicke to Digital Marketing Specialist. Megan has been an extremely valuable addition to Nugget’s News since joining the team last November.

For most of this year, a core focus of Megan’s has been building and streamlining our customer support processes. With her top-notch work now done, Megan is now prioritising leveraging her digital marketing skills to help our content reach more people globally.

We achieved record member growth for the sixth straight month, welcoming 1,077 newcomers into Nugget’s Crypto Community (NCC). Encouragingly, the monthly Member-Only Live Q&A videos has become a popular feature of the NCC membership since launching earlier in the year. August’s instalment was watched live by more than 600 members—bringing back memories of late 2017!

Over on YouTube, it was awesome to see the Nugget’s News channel’s subscriber count surpass 90,000, a sensational effort by our founder Alex who put in a massive effort through crypto winter to continue producing content. Really pleasing to see his efforts starting to pay off!

Industry Involvement

Alex took a (virtual) seat on the panel at Global Defi Showcase Event, a webinar streamed from Piper Alderman’s Sydney offices and hosted by Crypto Sydney. Projects that showcased their DeFi protocols and platforms during the webinar included MainframemStable and Synthetix-powered dHedge.

Throughout August, Alex appeared on a number of crypto and non-crypto podcasts, including Altcoin Daily, Chris Judd’s Masters of the MarketCrypt0 and DataDash.

Business Development

Our upcoming Member Platform made it to the end of beta testing, where almost 90 beta testers did their best to exhaust its functionality. The platform is now in what we hope will be the final stage of security and bug testing before launching in the coming weeks.

In Closing

I continue to be impressed by the team’s ability to navigate this period of growth and change—especially while working remotely. After many months of behind-the-scenes building, we are excited to step into a new phase and tackle the challenges that will inevitably come our way.
